The mountain farm PacherGut in "Gegend" near Lana
Our ancient Bacherhof – in our dialect called "Bochr" or "Boch" - is situated in "Gegend", a mountain fraction between Lana and the Ulten Valley. With great attention to detail and respect for the centuries-old rural architecture, we have carefully removed all the valuable substance and reintegrated it into the new solid wood house with climate house standard.
In this way we were able to let the unique history of this small farmhouse live on and are looking forward to sharing this unique feeling with you.
A farm with history
Our PacherGut, first mentioned in 1777, has been home to many families over the centuries and has changed hands many times in the course of its history. In this way the completely run-down little mountain farmhouse was up for sale again in 2011.
By purchasing it, we fulfilled our long-awaited dream of owning our own mountain farm and set to work with great enthusiasm to restore everything and breathe new life into the PacherGut. In 2019 we demolished the completely dilapidated firehouse and rebuilt it. This not only created our new home, but also two spacious holiday apartments with a touch of the past.
Family & Hosts
Welcome, we are the Paris family. We are hunters and gatherers, mountain farmers and nature lovers. We live in and with nature.
My name is Roland, I am a forester in the Stelvio National Park, a passionate mountain farmer and hunter, and I am Iris, a specialist in home economics, a farmer's wife and herbalist. Our son Simon and the twins Jakob and Josef make our family complete.
We appreciate the respectful and careful contact with people, animals and nature. We would like to take care of ourselves as much as possible. From garden, forest and from our animals. We would like to share this with you as well, dear guests.
In the middle of nature
Our farm is nestled in forest and meadow. Our two apartments in a quiet location offer a little paradise on earth.
Relax on the sunbathing lawn, slow down by the stream
and recharge your batteries under the gnarled walnut tree next to our old grain mill. We also have a
barbecue area there.

The power of herbs
We trust in nature and hold on to traditions. We produce smoke bundles and smoke house and yard during Christmastide. We turn herbs from the garden and wild herbs into aromatic herbal salts, fine herbal syrups and healthy natural soaps.
