Winter magic at PacherGut

When nature sleeps

Come up to relax. In winter, the Ulten Valley seems to press the pause button. This is the right time of year to switch off and recharge your batteries. And what better place to do that than in a cosy wooden apartment with a cuddly nest and the crackling fire of the fireplace in the living room?

The PacherGut is the ideal starting point for snowshoe hikes, winter walks and ski tours. And the Schwemmalm ski area is not far away either. Look forward to an unforgettable winter holiday.

Off to the snow and onto the slopes

Skiing, ski touring and snowshoe hiking in the Ulten Valley

In winter the Ulten Valley offers unspoilt white landscapes and many hours of sunshine. Whether you want to explore the slopes of the Schwemmalm ski area, set off on a ski tour or prefer to trudge across the lonely countryside on snowshoes, we are happy to give you helpful tips.

The Schwemmalm ski area is snow-sure and almost never crowded. A total of 25 kilometres of slopes are waiting to be explored on skis. In the valley, many beautiful snowshoe hiking trails and ski tours with fantastic downhill runs await you. There is a cross-country ski run, a toboggan run and an ice rink.

Out into the winter wonderland

Winter hiking and snowshoe hiking on the Vigiljoch

With every step through the snow your heart beats a little more in harmony with nature. Winter hiking and snowshoe hiking exerts a very special fascination and especially on the car-free Vigiljoch these winter activities are idyllic. The high plateau is known for its unspoilt nature and the many power places.

You can start directly from the PacherGut or go to Lana and take the cable car up to the Vigiljoch. There you will find a lot of relaxation and a small but nice family ski area with a toboggan run. And after a day in the snow, you can relax in your apartment and look out over the snow-covered mountains and dream.

Close to nature and sustainable

PacherGut is a place of retreat, far from light smog and traffic noise. Nothing but the soothing murmur of the stream, the spicy-smelling wood and the sun blinking into your room in the morning.
